Why Ursus was created

A more personal and resourceful relationship

Established in 2016, Ursus Financial Group was created to provide a financial relationship built around the individual—not a standardized institutional model. The firm coordinates specialized resources and appropriate solutions without forcing every client into the same product or process.

Experience across market cycles

Perspective formed in changing environments

A career spanning multiple market environments has reinforced the value of discipline, context, and careful decision-making. Experience does not eliminate risk or predict what markets will do next; it can help clients understand risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and avoid treating short-term conditions as permanent.

Current focus

Specialized resources, thoughtfully coordinated

Ursus focuses on areas where education, product knowledge, execution support, and professional coordination can help clients make informed decisions.

Retirement income

Retirement-income and annuity strategies appropriate to the client’s objectives and circumstances.

Protection objectives

Life-insurance solutions considered in the context of family, business, and legacy priorities.

Physical precious metals

Education and execution resources for appropriate physical gold, silver, platinum, and palladium transactions.

Self-directed retirement

High-level education about self-directed retirement structures and coordination with independent custodians.

Professional partnerships

Specialized resources for qualified professionals seeking to support appropriate client needs.

Professional coordination

Communication with clients’ existing advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and other qualified professionals.

Guiding principles

Standards for every relationship

01

Independence

Consider the client’s circumstances without forcing every need into one institutional model.

02

Discipline

Examine details, tradeoffs, timing, and risk before moving from discussion to action.

03

Transparency

Communicate roles, limitations, costs, and important considerations plainly.

04

Accessibility

Remain available for direct questions and timely conversations as needs evolve.

05

Long-term alignment

Keep recommendations and coordination connected to the client’s enduring priorities.

“Markets change. Products change. The responsibility to understand the client, manage the details, and make thoughtful decisions does not.”

Personal accountability

Responsibility means following through.

Clients should know who to call and receive a clear response. Ursus emphasizes direct communication, accessibility, responsiveness, and personal responsibility for coordinating details through completion.
